BARRFAB INDÚSTRIA COMÉRCIO IMPORTAÇÃO E EXPORTAÇÃO DE EQUIPAMENTOS HOSPITALARES LTDA was founded in Octuber, 1998. BARRFAB product line is composed by a full range of Surgical Tables, accessories and Surgical Lights, indicated for use in clinics and hospitals. Located at Mário Ely Street, nº 271, Farroupilha city, Brazil, the company has a total useful area of ​​approximately 3.000 M² and has the capacity to produce about 70 surgical tables per month, with about 65 employees. Based on proprietary technology, technical standards, procedures and professional qualification, BARRAB produces health products that incorporate great advances in structure, mechanisms, drives, finishing and design, meeting the highest medical demands.

BARRFAB products are registered in the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance - ANVISA, since 2000.

In January, 2001 the project for the implementation of Total Quality - Certification to the ABNT NBR ISO 9001: 2008 - Quality Management Systems was approved.

After that, there was a constant search for quality and the company was certified in 2004, according to Resolution RDC 59/2000 - Good Manufacturing Practices (current RDC Resolution n ° 16, published on March 28, 2013) and in 2006 according to ABNT NBR ISO 13845: 2004 - Health products - Quality management systems - Requirements for regulatory purposes.

On June 29, 2007, BARRFAB achieved the certification of "Product Conformity", meeting the Standards ABNT NBR IEC 60601-1 - Electronic Medical Equipment - General Prescriptions for Safety; ABNT NBR IEC 60601-1-4 - Electro-medical equipment - Programmable electromedical systems; ABNT NBR IEC 60601-1-2 - Electro-medical equipment - Electromagnetic Compatibility and ABNT NBR IEC 60601-2-46 - Electromedical Equipment - Particular Prescriptions for Safety of Surgical Tables.

In addition to these certifications, the company also declares compliance with the essential requirements of European Medical Device Directive 93/42 / EEC Annex VII since 2008, and has been registered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 2012, which allows the company to sell in the European and American market, respectively.
